Sigh. (Or, Trouble, Part 1.)

One day soon after we returned from Brazil, I was rushing to put together a package for FedEx to pick up, so I stuck Nikhil in the crib to play. Remember that he had just started sitting up on his own a few days earlier. Well, imagine my surprise when I returned to the room and found this:

Sigh. Apparently babies usually start pulling themselves around 10 months. Darn overachiever.

(If you wonder why it sounds like I'm not very happy about this, it's not that I'm not proud and amazed by my little one's strength. It's just now when he wakes up at night, he pops into sitting position and is standing within seconds, thus giving himself little opportunity to soothe himself back to sleep. Standing = sleep deprived parents. But it is cool!)
