We were lucky enough to see our old friends Terri and Roudy and their 2-year-old son Auggie while we were in Kentucky. Terri and Alvaro both studied philosophy and education at Teacher's College in New York, and now she and her husband are faculty at Southern Illinois University, a little over an hour away from my parent's house.

A Tuscan vineyard in Southern Illinois? Though the wine wasn't particularly memorable, the setting and company were lovely.
